| Job Description: |
We are seeking a skilled HL7 Integration Specialist to design, develop, implement, and maintain healthcare interoperability solutions using HL7 standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, and integration engines (such as Mirth, Rhapsody, or Cloverleaf). You will work closely with clinical systems, EHR/EMR vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless data exchange between healthcare applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain HL7 interfaces for clinical systems integration. Analyze HL7 messages (ADT, ORU, ORM, etc.) and map them between source and target systems. Work with integration engines (e.g., Mirth Connect) to configure channels and manage message workflows. Collaborate with healthcare providers, vendors, and IT teams to identify integration needs and deliver solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. Maintain documentation for interface configurations, workflows, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare data exchange standards. Assist in upgrading, testing, and validating interface updates or changes. Support FHIR APIs and other interoperability standards as needed. |
