Job Details
Education: Minimum bachelor’s in relevant domain from a credible Institute
Experience: 2+ years of hands on experience in the networking field
Timings: Overnight Shift, Rotation on an as need basis (5 days a week)
We are looking for a System & Network Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.
Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of departments and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Configuring and manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up systems accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
- Working with power related supports like UPS or generators.
Skill Requirements
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role·
- Must have hands on experience with configuring routers, switches and deploying a network.
- Working with Firewalls, Servers, Switching and routing, patch management, hands on with PFSense/Sophos and CentOS/linux servers.
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Plus point if ability to create scripts in batch scripting, Python, Perl or other language
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and should be a valuable team player.
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g.Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) or CCNA is a plus
